2018 Summerfest to feature Golden Knights, Dance Spectacular Productions among entertainment

On August 15, Defense Distribution Center, Susquehanna will host its annual Centennial Summerfest and Organization Day celebration from 11:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

This year’s event will celebrate the installation’s Centennial anniversary and feature entertainment from the U.S. Army Parachute Team, the "Golden Knights," and Dance Spectacular Productions featuring the Chicago Honey Bear Dancers.

Summerfest will also include a Beer Garden* which will sell commemorative mugs displaying the installation’s Centennial logo, as well as merchandise and food sales, music and entertainment, military static displays, bounce houses, outdoor games, prizes and giveaways, and more! *Please drink responsibly.

Additionally, there will be a Car and Bike Show featuring vehicles in the following categories: Motorcycles; Trucks; Antique (prior 1960); Muscle (1960-1980); Classic (1950-1980); and Modern Muscle (1980+).  Patrons are invited to vote on their favorite vehicle.  Judging is based on popular vote- the most votes win.

Trophies (locally constructed and made out of spare car parts) will be awarded to first and second place in each category. A special Commander's Choice Award will be presented to the Commander's top pick.

These events are open to ALL ID/CAC cardholders, to include: Active Duty Military, National Guard, Reservists, Retirees, DoD Civilian Personnel, and their families.
