PHILADELPHIA –
A former Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support supply chain director was honored for his service during a retirement ceremony July 20.
Navy Capt. Daniel Hodgson, former director of the Construction and Equipment supply chain, retired after 27 years.
Hodgson earned his commission from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland in 1991 and served in various assignments as a supply officer aboard the USS Newport News, the USS Dwight D. Eisenhower and the USS Kearsarge.
Hodgson’s final duty assignment was as the director of C&E since September 2015, where he oversaw the supply chain’s warfighter support, as well as support to disaster relief missions, including wildfires in the American West and the responses to Hurricanes Harvey, Irma and Maria.
Hodgson’s awards include the Legion of Merit, Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal and Navy Achievement Medal. He’s a qualified Naval Aviation Supply Officer, Submarine Supply Officer, Joint Supply Officer and a member of the Navy Acquisition Professional community.
