Fort Belvoir, Virginia –
Defense Logistics Agency Director Army Lt. Gen. Darrell Williams signed the 2019 Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month Proclamation in the presence of agency senior leaders at the McNamara Headquarters Complex March 20.
The proclamation represents DLA’s commitment to strengthening the Sexual Assault Prevention and Response Program by raising awareness through education and prevention activities, increasing collaboration with DLA Equal Employment Opportunity officials and providing a coordinated response for victim care.
In part, the proclamation reads: “I charge each individual with the responsibility to maintain a professional attitude, treat others with dignity and respect, and monitor one’s own behavior. Adhering to these standards will help reinforce positive attitudes, build morale, and create a culture in which sexual assault and sexual harassment are not accepted.”
DLA observes Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month every April.
