HQC employees celebrate fitness achievements

By DLA Public Affairs

Senior leaders and supporters gathered in the McNamara Headquarters Complex cafeteria April 9 to laud teams in this year’s Winter Warrior Fitness and Nutrition Challenge, a Morale, Welfare and Recreation program that helps employees realize their health and fitness goals.

Defense Logistics Agency Director Army Lt. Gen. Darrell Williams presided over the ceremony and congratulated participants and their HQC Fitness Center coaches for staying motivated during the nine-week program. The 112 employees who finished achieved an overall body fat reduction of 77%.

The general said programs like Winter Warrior serve as a jump-start to wellness among the workforce. He encouraged employees to keep up the momentum and strive to make health and fitness a lifelong habit.
