CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas –
Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Corpus Christi, Texas, participated in the Army Aviation Association of America Forum that kicked off Aug. 20 at the Corpus Christi Port’s Ortiz International Center. The theme of the event was “Shaping aviation sustainment to meet multi-domain operations.”
“This was a great event that allowed us to demonstrate the lock step partnership we have with Corpus Christi Army Depot to both our industry partners and some of the workforce at the depot, who can’t always put a face to DLA,” said Army Lt. Col. Justin M. McGovern, commander, DLA Distribution Corpus Christi, Texas.
This is the 15th year for the event. The two day forum included panel discussions and exhibits on aviation maintenance and combat readiness.
“The panel discussions on workforce development, Army Future Vertical Lift, and technology initiatives to support multi-domain operations is beneficial to us as we better understand where Army Aviation is going and develop ways to remain agile enough to support them as we move forward,” said McGovern. “The forum also allows us to continue to build relationships with our community partners as we work together to build capacity within our team.”
