SAN DIEGO, Calif. –
Defense Logistics Agency Distribution San Diego, California, hosted Republic of South Korea Army Maj. Gen. San Ho Lee and members of his staff from Combined Forces Command Korea for a briefing and tour Sept. 19.
The purpose of the visit was for the coalition partners to become familiar with DLA Distribution San Diego operations while touring the United States as part of the Joint Logistics Over-The-Shore exercise.
“Thank you for inviting us to DLA Distribution Center San Diego,” said Maj. Gen. Lee. “When I see American repair parts coming into ROK, I will smile knowing they are coming from DLA San Diego!”
Navy Capt. Jerome R. White, commander of DLA Distribution San Diego, said he understands the importance of such visits between the United States and its allies.
“As one of many distribution centers in the DLA Distribution network,” White said, “DLA Distribution San Diego’s support for coalition operations in the Combined Forces Command AOR represents the agility and redundancy of DLA’s logistics network. We are honored to provide members from the Combined Forces Command Korea Staff a tour of our facility. It will go a long way in building partnerships and fostering relationships.”
