COLUMBUS, Ohio –
Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime’s Engineering and Technical Support Directorate participated in the 2019 Youngstown State University STEM Expo on Oct. 3, to discuss internships and full-time employment with undergraduates.
DLA associates Adil Zuber, Brenda Lopez Rivera, Sema Kazemi and Zachary Chen spoke with students studying engineering and computer science along with other majors and disciplines.
Students expressed interest in career progression such as the Pathways to Career Excellence Program as well as work-life balance and benefits. Telework, flexible hours, credit hours, exercise/wellness program, tuition assistance program and reasonable accommodations were the main topics discussed.
Many students were excited to learn about the possibilities and benefits of federal employment.
