‘Ugly’ festivities get Medical ready for the holidays

By Shaun Eagan DLA Troop Support Public Affairs

A work environment during the holiday season often has employees playing around-the-clock Christmas music, holiday parties and desk decorations. There is no telling what an employee will do to be festive.

For the Medical supply chain, some employees took an “ugly” approach to celebrate the days leading up to Christmas.

The Medical Culture Improvement Team sponsored an Ugly Holiday Sweater Day Dec. 17 to help the supply chain get in the holiday spirit. Approximately 30 employees participated and competed for the ugliest, yet festive, sweater.

The initiative’s goal was to give the workforce a festive morale booster before the holiday, according to Ryan Jeffries, the Medical CIT co-lead.

First place was awarded to Heather Marchiano, while Vincent Valinotti finished in second place.
