Martin retires after more than 32 years of service

Defense Logistics Agency Indo-Pacific Commander Navy Capt. Kristin Acquavella recognized DLA Indo-Pacific Warfighter Support Representative Glen Martin for his 32-plus years of service and career with DLA Dec. 18, during a retirement luncheon at the Yokosuka Officers Club at Yokosuka Naval Base, Japan.

Martin was applauded for synchronizing the Warfighter’s understanding of DLA capabilities through various high-impacting strategic engagements that reinforced DLA’s commitments to improving Warfighter readiness. For his service, Martin received the DLA Distinguished Career Service Award along with a mounted and framed DLA Flag with inserted DLA Indo-Pacific Commander’s Coins.
 
Reflecting on his career, Martin said, “The sustainment of DLA in the future is too continually gain the Warfighter’s trust through professional engagements that solve their critical logistics hurdles and issues.”
 
Martin and his wife, Mikyong Kim Martin, departs Japan to settle in Lawrenceville, Georgia. His future plans include enrolling in various college courses at the University of Georgia, travel the continental USA, play golf, devote time to his Community Church, and most importantly reconnect with his family members.
