NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. –
Terri Strickland, general supply specialist, Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Anniston, Alabama, has been awarded the DLA Distribution Special Services Civilian of the Year award for her determination, devotion to duty and efforts that directly impacted DLA and the warfighter.
Strickland is considered by her peers to be the subject matter expert in accumulating, analyzing and reporting on inventory integrity. She also serves as the face of the customer at DDAA. During 2019, Strickland researched 513 supply reports.
Over the course of her research, Strickland saved DLA $5.2 million. Her resilience, mindfulness and team player approach to her work makes her a role model.
Establishing strong relationships with DLA customers, Strickland employed her resolve to ensure assets and material arrived at the correct destination.
Strickland’s efforts and devotion to duty are a great reflection upon the work of DDAA, DLA Distribution and herself. Her devotion to warfighter first ensures the agency and efforts of DDAA customers operate without interference.
