COLUMBUS, Ohio –
Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime participated virtually in Nova Southeastern University’s Government, Humanities and Education Fair Sept. 16. The university is located in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
The fair kicked off with a 30-minute “Defense Logistics Agency – Getting to Know Us” group session where students dropped in to learn more about the agency. Recruiters were also able to answer questions from the group. Individual virtual sessions were scheduled by students with recruiters to go more into depth about career opportunities, benefits and why they would want to come to work for DLA Land and Maritime.
In-person job fairs are tricky if not impossible due to social distancing. Efforts to curb the spread of the coronavirus have changed the platform to virtual events. DLA Land and Maritime has turned lemons into lemonade when it comes to recruiting. The virtual career fair offers a less expensive means of traveling and attending college and university career fairs while also following safety recommendations during the current health emergency
