Ode to the Ugly Sweater – A poem
There’s a tradition around Christmas each year,
A tradition that some in the JRF hold dear.
It’s where someone will earn a coveted name,
And become the champion of ugliest Christmas sweater fame.
There will be twelve categories equal to the Christmas days,
Each person making or buying their Christmas sweater in multiple ways.
Judges of six there will be,
Who will they choose, we still have to see.
When the decision is made, bragging rights will be won,
The winner will be crowned when the contest is done.
Congratulations to the winner and those who put up a fight,
Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night.
A list of the winners can be found on the sharepoint site.
The second contest involved service members’ pets adorned with holiday costumes with a list of the winners on the sharepoint.
Leadership highlighted the importance comradery and reminded everyone to check in on others, especially this time of year.
