The cloth face masks were shipped from DLA Distribution Susquehanna in New Cumberland, Pennsylvania, and distributed to 12 non-profit organizations including schools and health care facilities serving low-income communities. Making masks more easily available to communities hard hit by the COVID-19 pandemic is part of the White House Task Force’s plan to deliver more than 25 million cloth masks to the nation’s most vulnerable populations.

“It’s great to see how our dedicated team of logistics professionals make a difference in the lives of the people we support. I am just grateful for the opportunity to help,” DDSP Commander Army Col. Trenton Conner said.

As of June 7, DDSP has received over 22 million face masks and shipped over 14 million to 38 states and territories to support White House Task Force efforts. Locations include more than 1,400 federally qualified health centers, about 125 tribal organizations and 200 foodbanks for distribution to surrounding communities.
