What is your job title, and what do you do, specifically? I’m a business process analyst. In this capacity, I work directly with the DLA Aviation Storage and Distribution Division, writing standard operating procedures for their functional processes such as courtesy store storage and accounting, and pick, move and stow of material in the Distribution Standard System. I conduct classroom and virtual training via online conferencing for those processes and also provide guidance and oversight on storage and distribution functional process as well.
What do you like most about your job? Only being in my job for a short while after being deployed as an Army reservist, the knowledge I’ve gained and being challenged by the classes we teach and then being able to share that material in a classroom setting are two things I like most about my job.
What is your fondest memory of working for DLA Aviation? I really appreciate the times that we have done team-building events where we were able to give back in service towards the community.
What kind(s) of training and education helps your work performance in your current role? The preparation and studying of the course materials and learning from the expertise of my co-workers is fantastic. It prepares me to grow and increase my performance in my role.
What are some of your passions outside of work? Some of my passions outside of work are spending time with family, hunting, hiking, camping and riding motorcycles, all-terrain vehicles and horses.
If you had a theme song, what would it be and why? “Wanted Dead or Alive “by Bon Jovi. Have always loved the song as it is a mirror of my life.
If you could pick a personal motto, what would it be? Mt personal motto would be carpe diem, which means seize the day.
What is/are your favorite book(s), television show(s) or movie(s)? My favorite books are “The Sigma Force” series by James Rollins. My favorite TV shows are “The Blacklist” and “Yellowstone.” My favorite movies would be “The Lord of the Rings” trilogy and all the Marvel superhero movies.
What type of music do you most enjoy? I love a wide variety of music, but my favorite is symphonic rock, which is played mostly in Europe.
