DLA Indo-Pacific bids farewell to military deputy commander

By DLA Indo-Pacific

Defense Logistics Agency Indo-Pacific Military Deputy Commander Army Col. Julia Bell was recently recognized for her accomplishments as she ended her tour at Camp Humphreys, South Korea.  Rodney Wrotten, DLA Indo-Pacific Asiana Chief, presented Bell with her going away award from the DLA Indo-Pacific Team.

The award citation read in part” “Col. Bell truly made an impact across the United States Indo-Pacific Command while forging a lasting relationship between DLA and the United States Forces Korea and Japan.  During her tenure and a period of much uncertainty because of the worldwide pandemic, Col Bell led DLA’s effort to provide critical medical personal protection equipment and later vaccine supplies to first responders and warfighter as COVID-19 ravaged the Korean Peninsula.  She was instrumental in quickly activating the Korea Synchronization Operations Center to support the command-and-control efforts of DLA’s support during the pandemic.  By doing so, the KSOC was able to successfully synchronize information with internal and external DLA entities as the single hub for information for all DLA on the Korean peninsula.”

Bell departed South Korea for a follow-on assignment to Fort Leavenworth, Kansas, to take over as the director of the Access at the Combine Arms Center.  Army Col. Brian Donahue replaced Bell as the Military Deputy Commander of DLA Indo-Pacific.
