Can you tell us something about yourself?

I enjoy spending time outdoors, hunting, fishing, riding motorcycles or just relaxing on the patio with family and friends.

Describe your job in a sentence or two. I manage a small team of dedicated individuals that consistently provide outstanding logistical disposition service to our military services locally and abroad.

What is your area of responsibility? My current AOR is Letterkenny Army Depot, western Pennsylvania, parts of West Virginia, Maryland and supporting the Northeast DSD.

How long have you worked with the federal government including military service? I have been working within the Federal Government since 2010.

How long have you been with DLA Disposition Services? I have worked for DLA since 2010, and for Disposition Services since 2011.

What is your favorite thing about your line of work? I would say the fact that every day is different, is what I like best.

What is the best piece of advice someone has given you? Patience is a virtue.

What is your favorite memory with DLA Disposition Services? My first couple week at Susquehanna learning the ropes.

What awards and Recognition have you received? Employee of the Quarter 2015, Best Site Award FY17 and FY20, Special Service Award 2021

What is one characteristic that you think every leader should possess? Must lead by example. Be the role model. Walk the walk, talk the talk.

How would you describe your leadership style and why has it worked so well for you? Following the “Golden Rule” has served me well over the years in many different roles.

What keeps you motivated? No other job has such a rewarding meaning as to why we do what we do. Supporting the warfighter!

Why is networking to build professional relationships so important in achieving success? Networking opens the channels for greater communication. Without it, it is that much more challenging to succeed on your own. Teamwork always wins.

What mistakes have you seen individuals make that prevent them from being successful? Not separating work relations from personal relations. There is a fine line that can become blurred if one does not maintain that professional separation.

Name your favorite or recent book(s) you have read? Greenlights by Matthew McConaughey

Tell us something most people may not know about you or your directorate. Prior to working for the government, I owned and operated a used auto dealership and my wife owned and operated a family restaurant.

What was your first job? My first job was delivering newspapers on my bicycle at the age of 12. My daily route was 10 plus miles long.

What did you want to be when you grew up? Police Officer.

If you chose to do anything for a day, what would it be? Spend it with my wife and/or kids, grandson.

What are your hobbies? Gun collecting, shooting, Harley’s, and our newly acquired 1950 GMC truck.
