DLA’s chief financial officer visits DLA Distribution – tours Eastern Distribution Center > Defense Logistics Agency

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. –

Defense Logistics Agency Distribution hosted DLA Chief Financial Officer Art Hagler, senior executive service, and DLA Finance Deputy Director Shawn Lennon, SES, during a visit to the organization’s headquarters Aug. 25.

Hagler and Lennon kicked off their daylong visit by participating in a town hall with DLA Distribution’s finance team, where they were briefed on the organization’s recent culture survey and how the survey allowed the team to focus on key areas and changes implemented. They were also briefed on pricing and initiatives, planning and execution, and business, billing and revenue analysis. They wrapped up their time with the finance team with a small ceremony to recognize high-performing individuals for their outstanding accomplishments.

Hagler and Lennon then met with DLA Distribution Deputy Commander Perry L. Knight, SES, and were provided DLA Distribution’s mission overview as well as a brief on the performance based review, staffing processes and the network optimization concept.

The second half of their day saw them on a walking tour of the Eastern Distribution Center, part of the military’s largest storage and distribution center worldwide, where they saw the modernization efforts currently underway.
