BATTLE CREEK, Mich. –
Battle Creek Morale, Welfare and Recreation hosted the annual Children’s Holiday Party Dec. 10 at the Hart-Dole-Inouye Federal Center in Battle Creek, Michigan.
The event was paused during the pandemic, but this year Battle Creek MWR brought back the festive event.
HDIFC employees, retirees, contractors, and their family members participated in bingo, crafts, games and more.
Santa Claus stopped in for a surprise visit and the Kingman Museum provided a bug-themed demonstration. A face painter, a caricature artist, and henna artist provided options for the whole family to participate in activities.
“The last couple years we have been unable to host the Children’s Holiday Party in the building as we have previously,” Battle Creek MWR Chief Tiffany Schmidt said. “The event is something the parents and children look forward to having each year and we are glad to see it return.”
The family-friendly event showcased the MWR Equipment Checkout program including bounce houses, bingo and Hoverball Archery.
