PHILADELPHIA –
Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support hosted an event in Philadelphia to invite Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support members and a few foreign officers also stationed at Naval Support Activity Philadelphia, on 10 February, to enjoy breakfast and refreshments while also engaging in conversation and collaboration amongst each other.
In attendance was Rear Adm. Kenneth Epps, Naval Supply Systems Command Weapon Systems Support commander, who highlighted the relationship the command shares with its fellow tenant organization.
“While our portfolios rarely overlap, we enjoy a strong relationship across wardrooms on the NSA compound,” said Epps. “We relish the opportunity for continued fellowship and idea exchanges.”
DLA’s collaboration with all their partners is paramount as they rapidly innovate at speed and scale to solve problems.
“These types of venues are a great opportunity for information sharing and professional development across our respective commands,” said Capt. Tim Griffin, DLA Subsistence supply chain director. “We’re extremely grateful that Admiral Epps and his exceptional team allows our officers to participate in the NAVSUP WSS Philly wardroom, this allows our officers to stay connected to the greater Supply Corps community while serving in critical joint assignments here at Troop Support.”
