DLA celebrates exceeding 2022 CFC goal

By Beth Reece

Defense Logistics Agency Headquarters and DLA Energy employees celebrated surpassing a $300,000 goal for the 2022 Combined Federal Campaign at the McNamara Headquarters Complex April 4.

Contributors exceeded the goal by 5.5% with $316,784 in monetary donations as well as 135 hours of volunteer time.

News reports of inflation, recession, high fuel costs and geopolitical instability make employees’ generosity especially noteworthy, DLA Director Navy Vice Adm. Michelle Skubic said.

“It reminds us that we’re a community that’s able to help each other in a time of need,” she said, also praising keyworkers and coordinators for inspiring employees to pledge time and money.

DLA received the National Capital Area Summit Award for raising over 2% more than it did the previous year. Local employees contributed $275,865 in the 2021 campaign toward the same $300,000 goal.
