Name: Kameron Bonard

Organization: DLA Aviation at Oklahoma City

Years of service: 4 years

What is your job title and what do you do specifically? My job title is materials handler and some of my responsibilities include managing materials coming into and going out of the warehouse by fulfilling orders for the customers and then restocking the shelves to meet future requirements. I also work with customers to distribute parts directly to them, or to research and answer any questions they may have.

What are your best practices for achieving goals or accomplishing tasks? I’ve always approached my goals or tasks with 100% of myself invested and I will exhaust every option I have at my disposal to meet them and reach the best outcome.

What aspects of your current job gives you the most personal satisfaction? I get satisfaction out of seeing the aircraft I support flying around and realizing that my hands have touched the parts that have gone into them. I also enjoy being reliable to my customers and knowing they trust me to resolve their issues or get them pointed in the right direction.

What is your fondest memory of working for DLA aviation? My fondest memories involve some of the people I’ve met along the way. I’ve met some great folks who I consider friends.

What are some of your passions outside of work? My many passions outside of work are grilling outdoors and listening to music, but my greatest passion is golfing because of the life lessons associated with it. There are some good shots and some bad shots. But you keep going and don’t give up because you never know if you're in the sand on your fourth shot, you might chip it in!

Who is the most influential person in your life past or present? Without a doubt, the most influential person in my life has been my grandpa. Since I was young, he taught me to be generous and selfless. He imparted on me his work ethic, teaching me to go above and beyond and to do things right. But he also gave me tasks he knew I would initially fail so in the end I would learn how to reason when it came to facing problems successfully.
