KAISERSLAUTERN, Germany –
Four members of DLA Europe & Africa Headquarters Kaiserslautern, Germany, participated in a memorial service April 28, for Kleber Kaserne Army and Air Force Exchange Service shoppette employee Ronny Manfred Coleman.
Coleman, 51, died of throat cancer in March 2022 and was buried in local cemetery in an unmarked grave for about a year.
Coleman’s supervisor AAFES Express Manager Flossie Adams paid for Coleman’s cremation and burial, but he was buried without a headstone.
Over the past year, funds were collected to procure and personalize his headstone to ensure he would be remembered. DLA Europe & Africa employee’s Janis Spear, Mike Gosling, Erin Fairbank, John Rawcliff and almost 100 service members and civilian employees from Kaiserslautern Military Community were instrumental in donating money and pushing to personalize and install Coleman’s headstone to honor him.
