PHILADELPHIA –
Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support was honored with the inaugural Federal Executive Board Member Spotlight Award at the FEB Excellence in Government Awards ceremony held May 4 in Philadelphia.
“Today’s event marks the first year we are presenting the FEB Member Spotlight Award,” Mary Walsh, Philadelphia FEB chair, said.
According to the program write-up, the FEB Member Spotlight Award is given to an agency for exemplary contribution to the FEB during the past year.
“DLA has been a model FEB member agency for the past 12 years,” Walsh said. “DLA continues to provide outstanding support to this very day.”
DLA Troop Support supplied a personnel position to FEB so that a member of their staff could serve as the executive director in a full-time capacity, Walsh said. Additionally, DLA Troop Support employees served on various FEB committees and assisted in the printing of the award ceremony documents.
DLA Troop Support Deputy Commander Kishayra J. Lambert accepted the award on behalf of the organization.
“It is an honor for our organization to be recognized for our support of the FEB,” Lambert said. “I am always so proud of the work our employees do to support the Troop Support mission, so to see our employees recognized today as well, makes this extra special.”
For all other Excellence in Government awards, employees from across the Philadelphia federal sector, competed to medal in 10 categories.
