On-site visits develop and solidify rapport

By Leon Moore DLA Aviation Public Affairs Office

A leadership team from Defense Logistics Agency Aviation’s Planning Program Directorate in Richmond, Virginia, recently conducted meetings with employees within DLA Aviation at Cherry Point on Marine Corps Air Station Chery Point, North Carolina July 11-12.

The Planning Program Directorate team, led by Director Kent Ennis, spent two days with Cherry Point leadership building relationships and gaining a full understanding of the planning processes that DLA executes in support of their customers.

“We play a critical role in support of the warfighter and our teams need to be aligned throughout the supply chain to provide the highest level of service possible,” said Scott Carpenter, chief of DLA Aviation at Cherry Point’s Planning and Support Division. “Understanding how our actions impact each other’s ability to execute the mission is important to our success.”

Carpenter said the teams were able to openly share processes, challenges, and paths forward to solutions that will benefit the agency and the warfighter.

“We believe collaborative visits are critical to our mission,” said Carpenter.
