FORT BELVOIR, Va. –
People and culture are priorities for Defense Logistics Agency Director Army Lt. Gen Mark T. Simerly. Further strengthened with data from last year’s DLA Culture Survey and Federal Employee Viewpoint Survey, Simerly aims to address next steps and plan a course of action.
In his message, Simerly appreciates the time employees take to voice their experiences, concerns, and ideas for shaping the culture at DLA. He also outlines the steps leaders are taking to address employee feedback and make the agency a better place to work.
“I’ve directed each commander and director to initiate targeted action planning, involving comprehensive focus group discussions and listening sessions,” he states in the video.
Together, these action plans will give DLA leaders insights into understanding the root causes underlying employees’ perspectives and providing support where it’s needed most.
Simerly ended his message to the workforce with a call to embark on this journey together with confidence. “I'm here to serve with you, to grow with you, and to celebrate our achievements along the way,” he said.
