NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. , NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. –
Perry Knight, deputy commander, Defense Logistics Agency Distribution, presented Elizabeth Eldredge, chief, Command Support, DLA Distribution, with the DLA Meritorious Civilian Service Award during a ceremony held at DLA Distribution headquarters June 27.
Eldredge was selected for this award due to her inordinate ability to analyze and interpret regulatory guidance and apply that guidance to resolve complex and complicated challenges.
Beginning her tenure as a program analyst with DLA Distribution, Workforce Development team, Eldredge immediately learned the Defense Performance Management and Appraisal Program and took the reigns as Performance Management lead for the entire Distribution workforce. She worked seamlessly with more than 700 supervisors to effectively accomplish all DPMAP tasks.
She lent her experience and guidance to the recruiting and awards programs, maintaining and improving continuity amongst the team. Eldredge led or participated in a multitude of quarterly “Ask the Pros” training sessions geared towards developing the workforce. Through these sessions, she successfully identified and resolved questions, expanded shared knowledge throughout the network, and reinforced open lines of communication.
After assuming the Command Support Chief role, she created immediate continuity and became a sounding board for the newly created team. Eldredge ensured the Command Support team’s mission goals were exceeded during transition and well beyond. Even as a new supervisor, she earned the trust and confidence of the command team, as well as her employees. She held her team accountable and ensured they were well equipped to manage the colossal volume of work that flows daily.
Eldredge made significant contributions to DLA Distribution and her distinctive accomplishments and extraordinary performance reflect the DLA Distribution core values of leadership, professionalism and technical knowledge through dedication to duty, integrity, ethics, honor, courage, and loyalty.
