COLUMBUS, Ohio –
About two dozen Defense Supply Center Columbus employees from Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime, DLA Logistics Operations, DLA Human Resources and DLA Training gained a deeper connection to the DLA mission during a tour June 18 of the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force in Dayton, Ohio.
The tour was part of DLA Land and Maritime People Support and Culture Division’s Warfighter Mission Tours program, which was implemented to bring the federal workforce closer to the warfighters they support.
During the visit, attendees were led through a guided tour of the Southeast Asia War and Cold War galleries while reviewing weapon systems that DLA supports. The tour allowed the DLA employees to gain a better understanding of their critical roles in warfighters’ mission success.
DLA Land and Maritime employees interested in participating in an upcoming Warfighter Mission Tour can view the announcement for more information (CAC-enabled). The next tour is at Rickenbacker Air National Guard Base on July 30.
