NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. –
Richard Trick, a Defense Logistics Agency Distribution equal employment specialist, was among four DLA employees recognized for their outstanding contributions to the agency’s Workforce Recruitment Program during the Defense Department’s 2024 Workforce Recruitment Program Awards Ceremony at the Pentagon July 25.
Trick, a member of the DLA Distribution team since April 2022, was recognized as one of three WRP Recruiters of the Year along with Dwight Collins, DLA Troop Support, and Mislin Hampton, DLA Land & Maritime. Davina Calloway, a program analyst with DLA Headquarters, was named the Judith C. Gilliom Outstanding Participant of the Year.
“Trick is an experienced Equal Employment Opportunity Specialist in both complaints and reasonable accommodations and has a passion for his work, where he is a Disability Program Coordinator, a Special Emphasis Program Manager and a WRP Recruiter,” said Carrie Cash, director, DLA Distribution Office of EEO
Trick was recognized for his hard work and dedication in supporting the program, including volunteering to complete 11 WRP interviews during the last fiscal year.
Trick stressed that the program can be a great opportunity for the employee and the organization.
“My goal was to convey how much opportunity the federal sector can provide. There is a position for every skillset at DLA Distribution,” he said. “While a distribution process worker may serve as the bloodline of our specific Agency, it takes a wide pool of skillsets and talents to carry out our complete mission. Whatever interests and skills the candidate can provide, there is a match in our workforce. It is a team of many talents that makes Distribution succeed.”
