NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. –
More than 150 Defense Logistics Agency Distribution, Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania, employees gathered to participate in an end-of-summer employee appreciation event hosted by the Defense Logistics Employee and Community Outreach Organization Sept. 5.
Employees had the opportunity to enjoy a meal, engage in some friendly basketball or cornhole competitions, and attempt to dunk Army Lt. Col. Allen Luna, commander, DLA Distribution, Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania, and other leaders in the dunk tank.
“I’m happy we can do events like these for our employees,” Luna said. “Our organization has been working hard throughout the year, and this is our way for giving back to everyone for their contributions to the DLA Distribution, Tobyhanna, mission.”
The DLECOO organization raised the funds to support the event. DLECOO is an employee-run organization dedicated to support the DLA Distribution, Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania, employees.
“This event was a huge success, and I’m grateful for all of the volunteers who came out to cook, setup and support the event,” said Nance Rice, vice president of DLECOO and retail operations director, DLA Distribution, Tobyhanna, Pennsylvania. “It was fantastic that we all had a chance to enjoy each other’s company.”
