Maximize your opportunity: 5 Steps to prepare for DLA Distribution’s Hiring Event on Feb. 26

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa.  –  

On Feb. 26,  Defense Logistics Agency Distribution will host a major hiring event in New Cumberland, Pa, for those looking to start a rewarding career with DLA. This is the agency’s largest hiring effort to date – seeking to fill 300+ positions – offering job seekers a unique opportunity to connect directly with hiring managers and recruiters.    

DLA Distribution hiring managers, recruiters, and current employees will be onsite to inform participants about available job opportunities and benefits, offer insights into the hiring process, and answer questions. On-the-spot interviews will be conducted during the event. If a candidate is deemed qualified for the role, a verbal tentative offer may be given. The hiring manager will follow up with an email explaining the next steps for potential candidates.

As of Jan. 27, 2025, all DoD positions are currently exempt from the federal hiring freeze.

  2.     Review the list of available positions. DLA Distribution has outlined a full list of positions that hiring managers will be eager to fill during the event. You are encouraged to review those job descriptions on dla.usajobs.gov to familiarize yourself with those opportunities and their qualifications. 
  3.     Update your resume. Access free resume tools to ensure you convey your unique set of experience, skills, and career goals. 
  4.     Create a profile on USAJOBS. Be a step ahead of the process by creating a profile on USAJOBS. With a profile, you can upload and store a digital resume to use when applying for positions. Visit USAJOBS for instructions on how to upload a resume.

No registration or special access is required to attend. Attendees should bring a digital resume, along with a government issued ID. Participants can submit resumes before the event by creating a USAJOBS profile and uploading to the Career Fair Resume Repository.
