How long have you worked for DLA: Nearly 10 years.
Do you have prior military service? I served four years in the U.S. Marine Corps as an infantry rifleman as a corporal.
What is your job title, and what do you do? As a lead inventory management specialist, I lead a team of seven sustainment specialists and demand planners in support of nine Air Force shops, ensuring alignment with DLA’s strategic goals and optimizing long-term material availability for critical aircraft maintenance operations.
Why did you decide to work for DLA? To resume my service to this country through logistics support of the warfighter.
How do you support the warfighter? I support the warfighter by leading a team to enhance combat readiness through providing long-term part supportability to critical weapon systems needed in wartime conflicts worldwide.
What do you like most about your job and why? I enjoy helping, guiding and leading my team to realize successful implementation of operations that accomplish mission objectives.
What are your best practices for achieving goals or accomplishing tasks? Clarify details of required tasks, act quickly, set smaller, achievable goals, take accountability and manage time effectively.
If you could speak directly to the warfighters you support, what would you tell them? As someone who served on the front lines of combat myself, I appreciate your sacrifice to our country. Stay vigilant, adapt and overcome, and know you have support teams helping accomplish the mission.
What are some of your passions outside of work? I am passionate about hunting and creating meaningful memories with my children.
What’s the most thrilling or adventurous thing you have ever done? Conducting ground combat operations within Taliban stronghold territory.
What is the most important thing in your life right now? The most important things in my life right now are my wife and kids. My family is my legacy, and my hope is that my life has purpose and makes a positive impact on my kids and future generations of my family.
