BATTLE CREEK, Mich. –
Members of the Defense Logistics Agency Disposition Services team in Battle Creek, Michigan recently participated in a virtual brief with Brad Bunn, the vice director of DLA on March 18, 2025.
The goal of this virtual meeting was primarily to give Bunn an update on DLA Disposition Services’ progression regarding its 2025 Annual Operating Plan.
“My purpose for this is to check in on status and progress,” said Bunn. “To find out where you’re facing some challenges and to see where headquarters can assist with removing some barriers and enable success.”
Bunn was briefed on several topics, ranging from reutilization efforts to agency culture, demilitarization, infrastructure, and a host of other considerations. Not only was the vice director given a rundown of operational status, but he also witnessed multiple agency team members receive organizational kudos.
“We had the opportunity to recognize some of our employees,” said Mike Cannon, the director of DLA Disposition Services. “We selected one of our outstanding employees from [DLA Human Resources] who supports us, another from [DLA Logistics Information Service] who does an outstanding job in the building, and another from [DLA] Installation Management.”
Among those recognized were Property Disposal Specialist Ramon Flores, Human Resources Specialist Jeff McCannon, Program Analyst Victoria Tibbs, and Program Analyst Gary Smith.
During the AOP update closing remarks, Bunn took a moment to acknowledge the work being done by the DLA Disposition Services team.
“I can tell you General Simerly is focused on our warfighting mission and getting this agency positioned to best support the warfighter,” said Bunn. “And to the Disposition Services team, continue to do great work, I appreciate what you all do.”
