Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, welcomed its new commander, Navy Cmdr. Raymond “Joey” Lanclos, during a change of command ceremony held May 30 onboard Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, Hawaii. Lanclos relieved Navy Cmdr. Sean Moody, who led the distribution center for three years.

The ceremony was officiated by Navy Rear Adm. Michael York, commander, DLA Distribution, who praised Moody's leadership and welcomed Lanclos to the team.

During his remarks, York highlighted Moody's achievements, including support to multiple Rim of the Pacific exercises, implementation of the Warehouse Management System and navigation of the complexities of the shipyard’s transition to a Virginia Class Submarine Center of Excellence.  He emphasized the vital role DLA Distribution Pearl Harbor plays in supporting the U.S. military's presence in the Indo-Pacific region.

In his farewell address, Moody expressed his gratitude to the men and women of DLA Distribution Pearl Harbor.

Lanclos comes to DLA Distribution Pearl Harbor with a wealth of experience from a career that has taken him from the decks of the USS Curts, where he served as a division officer, to the sands of Iraq as a naval logistics advisor with Multi-National Security Transition Command-Iraq. He expressed his enthusiasm for the opportunity to lead the organization and his commitment to continuing the legacy of excellence.

DLA Distribution Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, is a vital component of DLA’s global distribution network, providing critical support to the U.S. military and its allies in the Indo-Pacific region. The change of command marks a new chapter in the organization's history, with Lanclos poised to lead the team into the future.
