Annual Report highlights agency’s transformation, warfighter support

By DLA Public Affairs

The Defense Logistics Agency has released its 2025 Annual Report, detailing the agency’s global operations, financial milestones, and strategic efforts to modernize in support of the military services, combatant commands, and whole-of-government partners.

“In (fiscal 2025), DLA’s workforce made major strides to prepare the agency for a contested environment alongside the services and (combatant commands), aligning our operations, workforce, and infrastructure to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving threat landscape,” DLA Director Army Lt. Gen. Mark Simerly said in the report’s introduction.

DLA’s strategic plan, “DLA Transforms: A Call to Action,” was the guiding force behind the agency’s transformation, DLA Chief of Staff Karyn Runstrom said in a message to senior leaders.

New initiatives like data acumen training are helping modernize the workforce’s business flow and the pursuit to deliver agile, adaptive and resilient logistics support, she said.

“DLA achieved $51.8 billion in revenue with a workforce of 24,000 employees,” Runstrom said. “This level of performance would place DLA among the top 100 companies on the Fortune 500 list. For comparison, Nike reported $51.3 billion in revenue with approximately 77,000 employees, illustrating the efficiency and scale of DLA’s operations.”
