NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. –
Army Lt. Col. Joshua Meador, commander, Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Corpus Christi, Texas, addressed the DLA Distribution Corpus Christi workforce and recognized several members of the team for their accomplishments during a town hall Feb. 5.
“I’m proud to be a part of an organization that consists of so many dedicated people,” Meador said. “Being able to recognize their accomplishments emphasizes all of the hard work our team executes on a daily basis to support our warfighters.”
Medor recognized the DLA Distribution Corpus Christi Employees of the Quarter.

Meador also presented employees with Global Distribution Excellence awards for fiscal year 2024. The Global Distribution Excellence awards recognize current individuals and organizations within DLA Distribution for their outstanding contributions to the success of DLA Distribution’s global mission.

These awards also serve to inspire the DLA Distribution community by commemorating the achievements of DLA Hall of Fame members for whom some of the awards are named.
The town hall focused on fostering a cohesive unit to ensure the organization remains postured to execute its critical mission of providing unwavering support to the warfighter.
DLA Distribution Corpus Christi, Texas, is the primary wholesale distribution point for major components to support helicopter repair missions for the Department of War and Foreign Military Sales customers worldwide.
Its mission is to receive, store, pack, preserve, issue and arrange transportation for assigned supplies and equipment as directed by DLA and Service Inventory Control Point item managers. The distribution center is co-located with the Corpus Christi Army Depot onboard Naval Air Station Corpus Christi, Texas.
Services provided by the distribution center include the care of stock in storage, packaging and the loading and unloading of helicopters and other priority cargo. The team is a vital link between the industrial base and the warfighter, providing critical support to ensure military readiness.
