By Valerie H. Mueck, EEO Specialist, DLA Aviation at Jacksonville DLA Aviation

On July 22, employees at Defense Logistics Agency Aviation at Jacksonville, Florida participated in the Naval Air Station (NAS) Jacksonville's Multicultural Fun Day at the base's marina pavilion.

Fourteen DLA Aviation employees assembled a display highlighting the Philippines and Filipino culture. They also shared information about their culture with curious attendees.

Thirteen information stations provided educational materials, display items and food samples to employees, family members and visitors during the event.

In addition to bouncy houses for children to enjoy, there were many items and information from base service groups. Participants experienced an array of information from various other countries and cultures including Jamaica, Russia, Ireland, Latin America, Germany, Bahrain, Uganda, Egypt, and the United States.

DLA Aviation at Jacksonville is one of six DLA Aviation industrial support sites supporting the warfighter through industrial retail supply and strategic acquisition, and weapon system material management for consumable and depot-level repairable material.
