OKLAHOMA CITY, Oklahoma –
Bruce Turner, management analyst at Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Oklahoma City, Okla., has been awarded the Global Distribution Excellence: Training Civilian of the Year for his work in increasing the training compliance level at Oklahoma City from 92 percent to 95 percent in one fiscal year.
“Mr. Turner has expertly provided assistance to our supervisors and managers, which in turn ensured all our teammates received the appropriate training for their development,” said Ned LaViolette, DLA Distribution Oklahoma City’s director.

“He meticulously researched and conducted seven Financial Liability Investigations of Property Loss,” said LaViolette. “Because of Mr. Turner’s diligent attention to detail during the FLIPL process, more than $300,000 in warfighter assets were recovered.”
