Holiday message from DLA Director Lt. Gen. Andy Busch

By DLA Public Affairs

Twenty years ago, I was assigned to Headquarters Defense Logistics Agency in the old Materiel Management Organization. It would be an understatement to say that much has changed around the world since 1995, particularly for the organizations we support, but the one thing that has not changed is our continued commitment to innovative and responsive Warfighter support.

Around the world, the spirit of this season reflects a dedication to helping those in need, and no one does this better than DLA. Over the past year, you have supported refugees from war-torn countries,  firefighters on the West Coast, and many more activities with your hard work and commitment to delivering global solutions on time every time.

During the past year as your Director, I’ve seen firsthand the work you do here and at our forward-deployed locations. As you spend time with family over the holidays, be proud of the work you do for those who keep us safe and secure. Know that the impact you have on lives all around the world is substantial and truly valued.

The new year will bring challenges and uncertainty, but it will also create many opportunities for success. It takes hard work to realize our goals and overcome the ever-evolving challenges we face as America’s Combat Logistics Support Agency. I am proud to once again be a member of the DLA team, and I firmly believe we will continue to seek excellence and provide exceptional global logistics support now and in the future.

Happy holidays to everyone.

--Lt. Gen. Busch
