Get fit and support Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month

By DLA Aviation Public Affairs

No fooling - April 1 is the beginning of the Defense Logistics Agency Virtual Fitness Challenge in support of Sexual Assault Awareness and Prevention Month.

The challenge runs through April 30 and can be done on an individual basis.  But, Katrina Leverette, DLA Aviation’s sexual assault response coordinator, wants everyone to know that it will also be a friendly competition between the enterprise’s major subordinate commands.  She urges all employees to “get out and represent DLA Aviation.”

Challenge scoring is based on the honor system with employees inputing their own information.  Please visit http://www.DefenseMWR.com/SAPR-VFC for additional information and to begin logging your points.

This year’s theme is "Protecting Our People Protects Our Mission."

The SAAPM kick off will be from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. April 1 in Bldg 46, 1st floor, outside of the cafeteria doors near the ATM machine.  It will feature a Resource Fair with many local agencies that provide support, services, resources and volunteer opportunities for our community  (Hint: Fitness challenge points are available for participation in the kick off and other awareness events.
