San Joaquin’s Laskowski Receives DLA’s Employee of the Quarter Recognition

By Annette Silva, DLA Distribution San Joaquin, California, Public Affairs

Ray Laskowski, distribution process worker assigned to the Consolidation and Containerization Point at Defense Logistics Agency Distribution San Joaquin, California, was recognized as an Employee of the Quarter winner at the DLA 52nd Annual Employee Recognition Program ceremony Dec. 6 held at the Andrew T. McNamara Complex, Fort Belvoir, Virginia.

Laskowski is a high-performing employee in the CCP. He was instrumental in out loading more than 112,000 pieces of materiel, including 1.3 million cubic feet of cargo, exceeding 7,400 metric tons in support of over 4,000 Department of Defense Account Activity Codes, 12 Break Bulk Points and four Theater Consolidation and Shipping Points for the entire U.S. Indo-Pacific Command theater of operations.

Further, he outperformed the standard in his area by 25% and was instrumental in the outbound shipments of 1,162 containers to warfighters throughout the Pacific theater of operations. During this time, while the CCP’s workload was more than 20% above projections, Laskowski excelled during the surge and helped exceed the metrics.

Laskowski’s supervisor David Williams appreciates his hard work and dedication to the CCP mission.

“No matter the task at hand, he always gives 100% and quietly performs without complaint,” commented Williams. “He is the epitome of a model DLA employee and we are fortunate to have him as part of the CCP and DLA team.”
