Describe your job in a sentence or two.

I manage DEMIL, RTD and sales programs, facility operations, material handling equipment and the welfare of my team.

Northern California and northern Nevada.

How long have you worked for the federal government, including military service?

I’ve worked in the federal government for 38 years.

I’ve worked with DLA Disposition Services for 26 years.

What is your favorite thing about your line of work?

The variety of jobs and work locations available if you’re willing to relocate.

To not assign tasks that you aren’t willing to do yourself.

What are your best practices for achieving goals or accomplishing tasks?

My leadership philosophy is to expect the best possible outcome but prepare for the worst; remain flexible and resilient.

What keeps you motivated?

That would be my wife. I wouldn’t be where I am today if she didn’t keep pushing me.
