Describe your job in a sentence or two. What do you do specifically?

I train customers on the front end to ensure all special processing requirements are addressed [and they’re] doing it right the first time. I also work with R/T/D customers (DOD ranges/law enforcement/fire departments/states) in promoting property they may be able to use for their operations.

What is your favorite memory with DLA Disposition Services?

Going onto decommissioning aircraft carriers to provide disposal training.

What aspect(s) of your current job gives you the most personal satisfaction and why? 

Helping DOD remove obsolete and unneeded material from its records and supporting our R/T/D customers.

What is the best piece of advice someone has given you?

Always take care of your staff.

What would you say has been your major contributions to your organization this year in your job?

Supporting U.S. Army divestiture through Demilitarization as Condition of Sale at Sierra.

What was your first job?

Wage grade 5 material examiner and identifier at DRMO Norfolk.

Who’s your biggest influence?

My mother.

What are some of your passions outside of work?

Helping our church groups with feeding the homeless and helping troubled youth.

What is your favorite quote?

Do unto others as you would have others do unto you.
