45 years.

How long with DLA Disposition Services?

28 years.

What was your first job(s)?

Babysitting and clerk typist for the Federal Aviation Administration.

Any memorable times with DLA?

Lots of memories since I first started. From being a secretary to my final position, it has been a series of lots of system changes and from being a part of a full-functioning site to a field office.

What’s satisfying about the job?

Keeping hazardous waste and materials moving in a timely manner out of this area. With the system changing, it’s been challenging to make sure it’s done in a timely and compliant manner.

Leaders – get out from behind your desk and check on your people. This and teamwork is how to keep the property moving in a timely and safe manner.
