“We are in the readiness business,” Chunn said. “We do everything we can to support the warfighter; our hardworking team on the F-35 project makes sure we meet that mission.”

The group took a tour of the installation and visited the F-35 Warehouse.

In January 2019, DLA became the service provider responsible for all warehousing on the North American continent and is responsible for the storage and distribution for F-35 Lightning II aircraft parts.

As a result, DLA Distribution San Joaquin now serves as the inventory hub supporting F-35 global fleet sustainment.

Today, DLA Distribution San Joaquin has received, stored and delivered thousands of F-35 components to customers across the globe.

Natalie Lee Haynes, the Distribution Facilities Manager for the F-35 division, led the tour through the warehouse.

“Here in the warehouse, our team manages wholesale for the F-35,” Haynes said. “We partner with Lockheed Martin and U.S. Transportation Command to move parts from the primes throughout the globe.”

After F-35 components are procured from the primes, they are sent to Haynes and her team at the San Joaquin location.

“We do everything from receipt to packaging and shipping within the internal team,” Haynes said. “It's like a small depot within itself.”

DDJC receives, stores and ships materiel in support of America's Armed Forces around the clock, around the world.
