NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania –
Eileen Austin, distribution facility specialist for the Eastern Distribution Center Division, DLA Distribution Susquehanna, Pa., was selected as the Employee of the Week for the week of Feb. 8. Austin started her career with Susquehanna in September 2008. She has been an integral part of the success of PAC OUT Branch. Her dedication and take charge attitude has been essential to PAC OUT’s ability to support internal customers as well as the global warfighters.
Recently, Austin was assigned the task of researching the Foreign Military Sales processes. She immediately took action by visiting the FMS operation, gathered all of the required information, and developed a plan of action for success. Austin developed floor and flow charts, maps of the operation and job breakdown sheets for the FMS operation. She also conducted question and answer sessions with her division for feedback and an opportunity for process improvement. Due to her impeccable research and performance of the task, she received positive feedback and she briefed senior leadership on the project findings.
