DLA Aviation helps wounded warriors prepare resumes, navigate USA jobs website

By DLA Aviation Public Affairs

Defense Logistics Agency Aviation Equal Employment and Diversity Office, along with DLA Human Resources hosted a workshop May 23 for wounded warriors, helping them navigate civilian job application websites and prepare professional resumes.

Hunter Holmes McGuire VA Medical Center’s vocational rehabilitation counselors requested the workshop as part of ongoing efforts by DLA Aviation to assist military members, undergoing treatment at McGuire. DLA Aviation makes opportunities available for wounded warriors to explore future civilian employment opportunities through a Department of Defense Operation Warfighter Program and McGuire’s Servicemember Transitional Advanced Rehabilitation (STAR) Program.  Since 2008, DLA Aviation has hired almost a half-a-dozen service members through non-competitive processes.
