Aviation customer service captain named DLA’s 2nd quarter CGO

Defense Logistics Agency’s Company Grade Officer of the Quarter for the 2nd quarter fiscal 2016, is DLA Aviation’s own Air Force Capt. Broderick Morris, who is the B-2 weapons system program manager currently assigned to the Air Force Customer Facing Division in the Customer Operations Directorate.

Morris was nominated and selected for his performance while deployed as a member of the DLA Support Team –Kuwait from January to March 2016.

He served as the operations officer supporting Operations Inherent Resolve and Spartan Shield where he performed superbly highlighting his professional skills, knowledge and leadership said, Air Force Col. Fredrick Plaumann, Customer Operations director. During the second quarter, Morris pushed high-priority orders, streamlined processes, expedited contracting actions leading to a reduction in wait-times in excess of a year and initiated proof of principle movements in a supply network introducing three new routes.

“Capt. Morris’ knowledge of various supply chain management principles enabled him to provide exceptional multi-class support which resulted in the establishment and sustainment of multiple forward-operating bases in Iraq, an increase in utilization of the Trans-Arabian Network, and the development of multiple mission partners in Iraq and Syria,” said DLA Aviation Commander Air Force Brig. Gen. Allan Day. “As an Air Force Officer assigned to DLA Aviation, Capt. Morris is committed to providing top-notch warfighter support to our DLA customers.”
