Logistics Information Services Training offers training on all of our products and services. Training courses are offered in-person or via Webinar.

Logistics Data Training Courses are designed to improve warfighter performance and provide comprehensive training and familiarization with our Self-Help Tools. We provide training opportunities to the Warfighter, DOW, Federal and State agencies, participating allied governments and government sponsored suppliers and contractors. Courses can be tailored to meet individual organizational requirements. DLA is committed to delivering quality training at our Battle Creek site, a customer’s location or via a webinar learning forum. CUSTOMER SERVICENOW MANAGEMENT - 4-8 Hour Course

This course is designed so students learn how to construct cases, close cases, build dashboards using filters and other methods that are used for Level 1 and Level 2 agents. This course also demonstrates overviews, methods, terminology, and providing next generation customer support for Level 1, 2, and 3 agents.

INTEGRATED TECHNICAL DATA MANAGEMENT - 8 Hour Course

The Integrated Technical Data Management (ITDM) course provides a comprehensive understanding of the responsibilities associated with the handling and management of technical data. This course is specifically designed for individuals and teams who work with engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical data packages (TDPs). 

REQUEST GENERATION TOOL (RGT) - 3 Hour Course

The Request Generation Tool (RGT) course provides students with knowledge of how to use the RGT system to submit cataloging requests for actions. These actions include requesting the establishment of new National Stock Numbers (NSNs), NSN maintenance/update requests, cancellation of NSNs, and reinstatement of NSNs, among other actions. After the completion of the course the students will know how to register for an RGT account and successfully navigate through the RGT product.

FEDMALL DLA ORDERS - 4 Hour Course 

How do I research my DLA managed requisitions? DLA Orders is the go to tool where users will become familiar with the system functionalities. The course exposes users to methods on how to run queries using NSN/NIINs or Requisition Numbers. Students will receive hands-on practice while learning how to run queries, check the supply status of orders, view stock levels, review Stock-Out Reports, view item notes and conduct shipment tracking to find answers to "Where Is My Stuff". A FedMall account is required prior to attending the class in order to participate in the hands-on learning.

FEDMALL SHOPPING - 4 Hour Course

FedMall Shopping is intended for authorized users responsible for ordering DOW Assets. Students become familiar with functionalities using an e-Commerce application. Attendees receive hands-on practice while learning how to search for items of supply, managing shopping carts and submitting orders. Government Purchase Card holders will learn how to procure items using either the purchase card or MILSTRIP requisitioning. A FedMall account is required prior to attending the class in order to participate in the hands-on learning.

FEDERAL LOGISTICS (FED LOG®) - 8 Hour Course

FED LOG® is a product that contains a three-prong research tool which includes The Interactive Application, Characteristics Search, and Batch Processing. Logistics data included in the FED LOG® product is discussed in detail during the course. Data topics include Item Information, Vendor, Supplier, Freight and Characteristics, and other data recorded under NSNs. Students will receive in-depth information and demonstration, as well as hands-on practice with each of the three applications listed. FED LOG® can be downloaded from FedMall. Users should download FED LOG® prior to attending the class in order to participate in the hands-on learning. 

DEFENSE DEMILITARIZATION PROGRAM COURSE (DDPC) - 3 Day Course

This three-day Defense Demilitarization (DEMIL) Program Course (DDPC) is "mandatory" for Department of War (DOW) component personnel involved with the DOW DEMIL program. After certification from DDPC, DLA provides the Web-based Defense DEMIL Program Refresher Course to maintain yearly certification. The Defense DEMIL Program Refresher Course is "mandatory" to maintain DDPC certification which meets the annual refresher training requirement of DoDM 4160.28, Volume 1 (PDF).

LOGISTICS OPERATIONS APPLICATIONS COURSE (LOAC) - 16 Hour Course

LOAC is intended to provide the student with a broad overview and demonstrations of DLA Logistics Operations applications. Students will become familiar with FED LOG®, WebFLIS®, FedMall, WebVLIPS and IGC applications and learn how to apply them in conducting Logistics planning or research.

Web Federal Logistics Information System (WebFLIS®) - 8 Hour Course

WebFLIS® provides essential information about supply items and is primarily used by DLA, military services, and United States (U.S.) government-sponsored contractors doing business with the U.S. government. FLIS is an EPC Standard Service. Users can register/obtain roles through the Access Management and Provisioning System (AMPS). Students learn how to use select Output Views to further narrow searches. A WebFLIS® account is required prior to attending the class in order to participate in the hands-on learning.

WEBVLIPS / DAASINQ - 8 Hour Course

This course is intended for authorized users responsible for conducting logistics research on open or closed requisitions for all Sources of Supply. Students will be exposed to an overview, demonstrations and hands-on practice in the application. Students will run queries using Requisition Numbers, DODAACs, Transportation Control Numbers, and NSNs along with creating Ad Hoc Query reports. The DAASINQ application will also be demonstrated in this course to review DODAAC (DOD Activity Address Code) information. A WebVLIPS account is required prior to attending the class in order to participate in the hands-on learning.

L- SERIES COURSES INTRODUCTION TO LOGISTICS INFORMATION (ILI)

This self-paced course provides a general overview of the NSN Logistics Concepts and is available via the World Wide Web or Computer Based Training. The ILI is designed to provide an entry-level understanding of the format and data elements contained within an NSN as published in the Federal Logistics Information System (FLIS). Any individual who works within the supply logistics arena and uses NSNs to input, revise, or cancel items-of-supply will benefit from this course. The ILI is a pre-requisite course for the LDI and LIFC Courses.

LOGISTICS DATA INTERPRETATION (LDI) - 24 Hour Course

Provides an in-depth review of all information contained within a NSN and related data elements contained within a Total Item Record (TIR). The FLIS TIR will be analyzed and interpreted using standard DLA products and services. Pre-requisite for the LDI is the ILI Course.

LOGISTICS DATA RESEARCH TECHNIQUES (LDRT) - 16 Hour Course

A review of the NSN Total Item Record data elements and hands on use of the research tools available to find required data elements to include FED LOG®, WebFLIS® and more. 

INTO TO WMS- WAREHOUSE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM FOR EXTERNAL CUSTOMERS

This course introduces the new Warehouse Management System (WMS), a modern and cost-effective platform replacing the legacy Distribution Standard System (DSS). The training provides a comprehensive overview of the two core modules: the ERP Central Component (ECC) and Extended Warehouse Management (EWM). Upon completion, students will be proficient in logging into the system, navigating the user and SAP menus, managing favorites for efficient workflow, and configuring system settings such as printers.
