INDUSTRIAL CAPABILITIES AND WARSTOPPER PROGRAMS

Supply Chain Leadership

NATION’S LOGISTICS COMBAT READINESS SUPPORT - PROVIDING OUR TROOPS EVERYTHING THEY NEED TO KEEP THE NATION SAFE

The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) provides acquisition, logistical and technical services to all the branches of our Armed and Allied Forces including sourcing and acquiring almost 100 percent of the consumables the Nation's military forces need to operate – everything from food and clothing to jet fuel and military hardware.

DLA’s Industrial Capabilities (ICP) and Warstopper Program are tasked with identifying industrial base vulnerabilities and implementing mitigation strategies to sustain a healthy and robust supplier base capable of delivering Warfighter readiness and cost-effective solutions.

ICP Objectives

  • Partner with industry to share in the risks of developing, sustaining, and improving industrial capacity.
  • Identify and mitigate industrial risk through in-depth analysis.
  • Leverage peacetime procurements and optimize wartime surge capabilities.
  • Invest in at-risk industries to sustain critical readiness capabilities.
