Course Description
This is a 2-day course. Day 1 is spent reviewing functions and clauses of SELECT statements covered in SQL BASIC. Day 2 is spent building queries learned in the BASIC class, and gradually adding more complex functions such as Scalar Functions, SUBQUERIES, TABLE JOINS – (Inner, Left Outer, Right Outer, Full Outer, and Cross), COUNT, UNION, and SUBSTRINGS. Exercises involve continuous query building. Attendees will be given 'customer request' scenarios and expected to build queries, the results of which should meet the needs of those customer requests. Discussion will follow each exercise. In preparation for the class, attendees should have access to the DB2 TEST region and DoD 4100.39-M Volume 12.
